I’ve resisted the lure of Twitter for a while now. For the unfamiliar, Twitter is a web toy that allows the user to post short, frequent text updates to a public timeline. It can keep you in touch with friends and family, or it can add an “up-to-the-minute” news badge to a blog. It was the latter that ultimately won me over. Often I’ll have ideas or nuggets of news that do not warrant their own threads. Now I have a way to purge those little gems and give the site some perpetual and timely content.

My Twitter URL is http://twitter.com/JoshWay. There is also an RSS feed as well as the new badge in the upper left corner of the site. The Twitter badge has proven a bit buggy. If you don’t see anything in the “Josh Right Now” module, there are two likely explanations: 1) you need to upgrade to Flash 9, or 2) the badge is acting screwy. Let me know if there are any issues.

Also let me know if you yourself Twitter so I can add you to my friends list. If enough of us hop in, I can set up some kind of friends timeline here on the site.

ImJoshWay2, I’d really like to figure out what is happening to insert that HTML at the bottom of each of your comments. I’ve probably asked you this before, but exactly what OS and browser are you using?

It’s not a big deal, I just want to try and understand it and see if I can fix it.

To be completely honest with you i am not really sure…. my dad said that its some link to something….
very vague but its all i can dish out about right now … if i knew more i would tell you…

My computer is a Compaq 7600 and i am using Mozilla Firefox for the internet.

i cant tell you much more than that. Sorry

I’m honestly not sure how it’s supposed to work. But I don’t mind friends showing up. Hopefully soon more will join in the randomness.

bummo, I don’t see your twitters in the module on the site. I think you see them because you’re logged into Twitter in the same browser. I think it reads that cookie.

It’s not something any of us can control. It just does whatever it wants. I’m actually trying to find away to show ONLY my twitters, and then offer a link to view them with friend twitters too.
