Jesus is my Friend

Josh Blogs

I can’t decide whether my love for this video is ironic or not.

The group is Sonseed. Hat tip to steev richter.

Wow. That was something. I had to watch it twice just to be sure that I didn’t hallucinate the whole thing. What more can you say than, “[Jesus] is like a Mountie/ He always gets his man/ And he’ll zap you any way he can/ Zap!” You just don’t get truth like that in contemporary Christian music these days.

    I know it’s challenged me.

    Zap!

So that’s how the OC Supertones got their start!

    I understand your indecision, Josh.

I can’t put it in words. It’s like true essence of hilarity. It’s as if the video was placed into a sieve, and anything even remotely resembling something you can take seriously was pressed out. Then anything ridiculous that could be added, was added, for good measure, and this is what you are left with.
Only Jesus himself could inspire such a perfect moment in time.

This needs to be forwarded this to the fine folks at both Harmonix and Activision for serious consideration for inclusion in future Rockband/Guitar Hero titles. I for one would buy it…twice.

Isn’t the bearded back up singer a young Kevin Murphy?

“He taught me how to turn my cheek when people laugh at me.”

I bet that happens a lot.
