Cartoon Brew’s Jerry Beck has announced this year’s ‘Worst Cartoons Ever’ event for 9:30pm on Friday, July 25th at San Diego Comic-Con. We’ve caught this painfully funny show the last two years and it’s a hoot. Glad to hear it’s back this year, and that it won’t conflict with the epic MST3K panel. Between these events, the live Rifftrax show, and the usual shenanigans, it’s gonna be a juicy con this year.

Film buffs worldwide and MSTies in particular are shedding a tear at the loss of actor John Phillip Law, who died today in Los Angeles.
Law was best known (to me, anyway) for two very memorable roles in MSTied movies, each from a different period in his prolific career. He was the evil Calgon (Kalgan) in the horrendous ‘Space Mutiny’ and the dashing ‘Diabolik’ in the last film ever featured on the show.
